Day 26 | John 14.7-9

Comments

Eubie said…
Jesus says, “If you have seen me ,you have seen the Father.”
I struggle to embrace the statement.
I also remember that there is also the face of the Father from the time of Moses.
Moses could not look upon the face of the Father and live.
The face of Father might fill us with awe - an awe that we might not survive.
I am thankful that Jesus reveals the father to us in a way that we can see.
I am thankful that I know the will of the father through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
I like the idea of returning to Eden to walk with the Father in the breezy time of the day.
I imagine myself walking with God along a quiet deserted beach feeling intimately connected to the greatness of God.

Day 14 | Discipleship: Matthew 5:13-16

What does it mean to be salt of the earth and light of the world? 13  “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.  14  You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.  15  Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.  16  Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.
